End of the concert season, welcome festival season!

Last night Room 66 was steaming hot, literally and figuratively! We had some great shows of Salesmen and Rabids bringing a fun mix of punk and rock ‘n roll. Those who endured the heat definitely enjoyed themselves!

Some pictures can be found by clicking the band names above!

Tomorrow we’ll have the one but last show night before the summer break, with 3 bands hitting the stage in Room 66! We’ll get visitors from UK with Satan’s Mineons, who bring Leuven-based Onion Fuzz back to Rock Cafe, alongside Cuberdon from Leuven. On June 30th Belly Hole Freak will wrap up this concert season!

During the summer months, we take a break from booking concerts until end of August, as typically it gets too hot for shows in Room 66 and there’s plenty of activities at the old Market in the framework of “Het Groot Verlof”. Check out our Events page for more details!

Meanwhile, bands keep on reaching out to book concerts in the fall and in 2024, so stay tuned for more fun and live music after the summer break!

Kerstvis Pictures online and picture request!

We’ve updated the picture section with a Kerstvis 2022 selection that paint a nice picture of what the tradition of Kerstvis is about. Kerstvis is no less than Santa in a more fashionable Elvis costume. If you believe this is wrong, come join us for Kerstvis 2023 on December 24th. Kerstvis spins just about the right amount of wrong music that night!

Next to these new albums popping up these days, we’re always interested in obtaining pictures of shows, parties or just random nights at Rock Café to share through our website. If you have interesting pictures for us, please contact us and we’ll be in touch via e-mail.

I would also like to take a moment here to say a personal word about the website. I think in just a few months I managed to pull together a decent looking website that complements the house style of Rock Café. I speak for myself, but also the owner, bartenders and those that help with the social media accounts of the pub now. We’re all truly grateful for the support and positive feedback we get from our customers and bands that come and play. We’ll try to improve as we go along, and you warm suggestions are highly appreciated, so don’t hesitate to talk to us at the bar! Also, I wanted to remind everyone that our webteam consists of a few regulars from Rock Cafe and a few bartenders who all do this work as volunteers. We always try to get things done as soon as reasonably possible for us, but sometimes other things are more important. Our apologies if you need to wait a bit for our feedback, we’ll get in touch and sort things out!

1001 hits at RockCafeLeuven.be!

Just 2 months after we released our website, we’ve had over 1000 page views now and 240 visitors. We think things are finally starting to shape up the way we would want it, and we’ll try to keep on improving the website as time goes by. Stay tuned and let us know if you have any suggestions to improve our website.

Week after week we can see a gradual growth in the visitor numbers and page views, so we hope even more people find their way to Rock Café and our events!

Remember next week we celebrate 24 Years Rock Cafe on Saturday. You don’t want to miss out on this party!

Welcome to RockCafeLeuven.be!

Better late than (je)never, the famous Rock Cafe finally has a website! As you might have noticed over the past few weeks we have added more functionality to the website, and we aim to continue to do so in the coming months. Any suggestions and ideas to improve our website are welcome through the contact form or just by talking to us at the bar!

We tried to keep things sober-ish (not too sober, you know how those people are ;-)), mainly looking at functionality. This is why we started with the most basic information, such as our menu, some information about room 66, our events and some pictures. We deliberately did not allow any comments on the website, as to keep it tidy.

Over time we plan to add more pictures and other features, such as a “Rock Cafe Hall Of Fame” where all bands that ever played at Rock Cafe can get their name mentioned.

Occasionally we will also post news on this page, but we’ll also keep on using our Facebook page, so make sure to follow us there too!

See you at the bar soon!

Webmaster (and Rock Cafe piece of furniture) Lode \m/ salutes you!
